Growth Strategies For PTs
In this weekâs Blog post I am going to be discussing growth strategies for PTs. Being able to achieve a six figure income for personal trainers is not easy if you donât know how to grow and leverage your business. Many PTs are simply exchanging their time for money and spinning their wheels. The main reason is, they donât know any growth strategies for personal trainers to utilize in their business. In this blog post, Iâm going to discuss a few different angles for the best growth tips for personal trainers.
- Leverage your time and make more money
I know it sounds nice, but how exactly do you do this? Well, depending on what format you run your personal training business there are ways to really leverage your time, especially if you are mainly doing 1 on 1 sessions. If you fall into this category where you are working from the early morning until late at night doing 1 on 1 sessions then you are soon going to get burnt out. You might already be feeling a little burnt out already. The key is to start transitioning your clients from 1 on 1 to semi-private training.
There are a number of benefits for doing semi-private training compared to 1 on 1. Hereâs a quick list:
- You can make more money for the same amount of time worked.
If you are charging your 1 on 1 clients say $50 for a 45 minute session you can offer them the opportunity to work with a team of 3 others for only $35 for the 45 minute session. With this money saved, the client may book into another session with you (which you could suggest). Now, with 4 people paying you $35 for a 45 minute session you have gone from earning $50 to now earning $140. You have also saved yourself 3 x 45 minutes which you can book other people into for sessions.
- You can build a team atmosphere with your 4 semi-private clients.
They can motivate each other, keep each other accountable (no more no shows as they will speak to each other and make sure each other is attending) and keep your client retention high as well. A good idea would be to create a group text chat where they are can all message each other. Itâs also good for them to be able to meet new people.
- Create your own products
In order to grow your business you want to be able to have multiple sources of income. One of these ways is to offer your own products. Some products that you could start creating to earn more income could be:
- Exercise Regimes & Nutritional Plan
The great thing about offering exercise regimes and nutritional plans is that you can sell them online and through social media to people that canât train with you directly. By simply creating a page on your website with the details and a link to PayPal (or your direct debit provider if you have one) you can start offering them to your network to increase your business revenue.
- Offer other peoples products
There are many products out in the industry that you can offer your clients and earn an additional income. A basic one can be supplements. There are many different supplement companies that will offer you wholesale rates for you to then on sell to your clients at retail and make a profit. You can also research different network marketing companies such as Juice Plus, Yor Health, Isagenix or Herbalife. With these companies you can earn an income off your clients and even earn money off other people who would like to offer the products to their contacts.
Do you research and find something that fits with your business model and that you believe in. This is an easy way to make additional income in your PT business.
